A little preparation before your power washing appointment makes the job faster, safer, and more effective. Here’s exactly what to do before our crew arrives.
Close All Windows and Doors
Even low-pressure soft washing can force water into gaps around windows and doors. Close all windows and doors tightly before we arrive. Check for any damaged window seals or door weatherstripping that might allow water intrusion.
Move or Cover Outdoor Furniture
Move patio furniture, grills, planters, and decorative items away from the house and the areas being cleaned. If items can’t be moved, cover them with plastic sheeting. This protects your belongings and gives us unobstructed access to all surfaces.
Protect Electrical Outlets and Fixtures
Cover outdoor electrical outlets with plastic bags or tape. We take precautions around all electrical fixtures, but adding an extra layer of protection is always a good idea.
Clear Vehicle Access
Move vehicles away from the driveway and house. Our equipment needs clear access to the areas being cleaned, and vehicles can be damaged by overspray or cleaning solutions.
Pre-Wet Your Landscaping
Water your plants and landscaping before we arrive. Pre-wetted plants are more resistant to any cleaning solution contact. We’ll also rinse all vegetation after cleaning, but pre-wetting adds an extra layer of protection.
Pro Tip: Walk around your property and note any areas of concern — damaged siding, loose trim, or fragile features — and point them out to our crew when they arrive.
